The Walkerville Public School District is seeking a superintendent/principal to begin work July 1, 2017.  The Board is being assisted in the search by Dr. Rodney Green, Consultant for the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB).
 
Walkerville Public Schools is located approximately 45 miles northeast of Muskegon, Michigan in Oceana County. The school district serves approximately 260 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The school district employs about 18 teachers in one K-12 building. The Walkerville area is comprised mainly of farming communities. Those who do not work on local farms generally find employment in surrounding cities.
 
The Board of Education of Walkerville Public Schools seeks a superintendent/principal who has a solid background in K-12 Administration with experience in leadership and curriculum.  The superintendent/principal should actively work with the Board and community to set and reach goals, communicate effectively and be knowledgeable about grants and teacher development.  This educational leader should be ethical, honest and friendly.

Salary Information
The district will offer a competitive wage and benefit package (salary range $90,000 to $105,000) that reflects the experience and education of the candidate chosen as the next superintendent/principal.
