The Au Gres-Sims School District is seeking applicants for the following position:





  • Candidates must possess a Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate
  • Highly Qualified BX and/or BA Endorsement Grades 6-12; additional secondary certifications desired



  • In-depth instructional knowledge of English and Language Arts
  • Demonstrated effective classroom management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching     

strategies to address students’ differing learning styles

  • Deep sense of caring for children
  • Evidence of high learning standards for children
  • Ability to utilize technology in the classroom
  • Highly motivated and success oriented
  • Demonstrated experience involving parents in the learning


  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with

students, staff, administration and community

  • Willingness to become involved with the improvement

process of the school and district

  • Demonstrated experience and/or strong desire to develop,

write, and implement curriculum
