Position: High/Middle School Principal

Location: Potterville High/Middle School

Salary range - $70,000 - $80,000 The district will offer a competitive wage and benefit package that reflects the experience and education of the candidate chosen as the next High/Middle School Principal.

Reports To: Superintendent

Qualifications: ● Master’s Degree in educational administration/leadership with a major in Education Administration or equivalent ● Valid or eligible administrative certificate ● Applicants will be considered if they possess a Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership or Educational Administration and are currently enrolled in an approved program for administrator certification ● Successful experience for a period of at least (5) years in the educational field ● Experience in preparation/management of budget ● Demonstrated knowledge of current educational issues and practices ● Ability to problem solve, critically think and resolve issues ● Demonstrated leadership with students, parents, community, and staff ● Commitment to strategies for improvement of student performance on NWEA, MSTEP and other assessments ● Demonstrated knowledge of PLC's ● Knowledge Multi-tiered System of Supports at the Secondary Level Description: Under the direction of the Superintendent, the High/Middle School Principal serves as the educational leader, responsible for student learning, personnel management, scheduling, emergency management, facility operations and is expected to meet and exceed goals established by the district. ● Lead, support and supervise the implementation of state standards, standards for college and career readiness and district curriculum of elementary schools in all subjects ● Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the school improvement plan, aligning the plan with the District’s vision, mission, initiatives and district improvement plan ● Monitor the revenue and expenditures of the Elementary School ● Attend, lead, supervise and participate in school and district activities including but not limited to graduation, extracurricular activities and conferences ● Create and maintain a safe environment for all stakeholders ● Working knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) ● Knowledge of Innovation practices in Education ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills Evaluation: Performance for this position will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent of Schools.
