We announce the following vacancy in the Rochester Community Schools.  Applications will be accepted until filled. Screening of applications will begin on November 16, 2018.

IT Manager


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field and 5+ years’ experience in network management
  • Professional certifications related to networking and security such as CCNA, CCNP Security, MCSE, or equivalent
  • Experience with security-related protections including network auditing, attack trends, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing
  • Expertise in security best practices, data center management, data governance, network installations and administration, wireless technology, email systems, file system backup/recovery, virtualization technology, storage area networks, and operating systems
  • Strong foundation in project management, current IT concepts, and best practices, including disaster recovery planning and business continuity
  • Strong supervisory experience, including goal setting/performance reviews and a passion for coaching, mentoring, and training others
  • Ability to document technology, create training materials, and train others
  • Ability to apply and make decisions attuned with the Executive Director’s methodologies and District goals
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, take ownership of objectives, and engage change
  • Ability to manage multiple, high-profile projects
  • Ability to simplify and effectively present complex technical concepts verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to dissect problems and identify shortcomings, direct research into issues and products, and recommend and implement solutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, experience with CAD helpful, and excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
  • Demonstrated systems and mechanical aptitude and ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and remotely and embrace flexible hours, as projects and emergencies dictate
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.


SALARY: Coordinator Salary Schedule - $79,000 to $94,800. The successful candidate will be eligible for a comprehensive benefit package including Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick days, as well as any other applicable benefits.
