Quincy Community Schools has a vacancy for a Technology Support Specialist. The Technology Support Specialist will work under the direction and supervision of the Technology Coordinator. The following list provides a summary for the duties of this position:


  • Perform hardware and software repairs on technology related items throughout the district
  • Provide updates/support to the district and school websites
  • Provide support in the classroom for hardware/software related issues
  • Perform necessary maintenance for technology hardware throughout the district
  • Maintain/update technology physical storage areas and the technology/media related inventory
  • Assist the Technology Coordinator in the addition of infrastructure or any technology related updates or upgrades to the district
  • Provide hardware/software support for students as needed and/or assigned
  • Provide technology support to the faculty/staff as needed and as assigned by the Technology Coordinator
  • Any other duties appropriate for the position.




A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred.  An equivalent knowledge of school technology systems or related work experience is desired.


Contract Term and Conditions:


This would be a full time twelve month position.  Wages range from $34,000-$36,000 depending on experience and education.  There will be 2 weeks of vacation per year and include school district health insurance benefits.
