POSITION: Director of Kids’ Corner and Little Hornets
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a teaching degree with a ZA/ZS endorsement
- Valid Administrative Certificate or Two (2) Semester Hours or Three (3) CEUs in Child Care Administration (verifiable with State of Michigan licensing agency)
- Experience with Great Start Enrollment Procedure and Practices
- Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Familiarization with Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) for Immunizations, Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies (TS) Gold
MAJOR DUTIES: • Implementing Michigan Child Care Center licensing rules
- Hiring, training, and evaluating program employees
- Managing the budget for Kids’ Corner, Little Hornets, and Great Start
- Managing all program logistics to include; billing, trips, scheduling, and enrollment processes
- Promoting programs using a variety of communication mediums
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders, families, and students
SALARY: $45,140, two-year administrative contract with individual (single-coverage) health benefit plan
Negotiable Additional Benefits
STARTING DATE: November 5, 2018: Two week (part-time) job shadow
November 19, 2018: Assume position full time
