Elementary Art Learning Facilitator

Location:  North & South Early Learning Centers  -  Immediate Supervisor:  Building Principal
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with LX endorsement
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of technology
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the academic, social and emotional need of the high school age student

 

General Information/Duties:

  • Teacher will be required to integrate the art curriculum into thematic units
  • The teacher will be required to work cooperatively with the building team as well as the district team to assure facilitation of the district’s curriculum
  • Flexibility and adaptability are expected in working in the classroom and with other staff
  • Knowledge of the academic, social, and emotional needs of the elementary age learner is expected
  • Teacher will be required to be a team member working cooperatively with other team members to improve teaching techniques, relations with the community and school community
  • Participate in district-wide professional development
  • Successful teaching and leadership experience and familiarity with customized learning concepts
  • Serve as an active member in the District Strategic Design process
  • Alignment to the Mission and Vision of Tecumseh Public Schools

 

Terms of Employment:

Full-time position. All terms per Master Contract between Board of Education and the Tecumseh Education Association/MEA.
