POSITION TITLE:      Human Resource Generalist
DEPARTMENT:        Central Office
REPORTS TO:        Superintendent
SALARAY:        Wage/Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
Starting Date:      As soon as possible

Supports a wide variety of human resource functions to ensure sound and effective practices including staffing, hiring, record keeping for all certified and noncertified staff, benefits, employee contract negotiations, and monitoring federal/state law and affirmative action compliance and federal/state reporting.

  • Works Cooperatively with Administrative Team and Principals to Coordinate Staffing Instructional and Support Positions in the Hiring Process.
  • Manages Employee records
  • Manages Employee contracts
  • Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
  • Maintain Accurate Job Descriptions for All District Employees
  • Employee Insurance Coordinator
  • Coordinate Benefit Plan Document
  • Employee FMLA Administration
  • Facilitate Livescan & iChat Background Checks
  • Employee Seniority and Benefits Records
  • File Workers Compensation Claims
  • Participates in Contract Negotiations along with the Superintendent and Board
  • Coordinating updates to District Policy/Administrative Guidelines
  • School of Choice Coordinator
  • Civil Rights Data Collection Coordinator
  • School Infrastructure Database (SID) Report
  • Other duties as directed by the Superintendent


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of five years experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Internet use and research, data analysis.
  • Ability to demonstrate professional behavior with strong focus on confidentiality
  • Team orientation with all levels of employees
  • Basic understanding of LEAN continuous improvement philosophy and tools



  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.   
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both oral and written form.  
  • Ability to evaluate appropriateness of expenditures and stay within budget allocations.  
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.  
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and related software.  
  • Ability to problem-solve Human Resources related issues.
  • Ability to understand the basics of the Marzano Instructional Framework and its application in the classroom.  
  • Ability to aggregate, disaggregate, and analyze student achievement data, employee data, and operational data to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ability to acquire new knowledge and skills quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and challenging work environment


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, stand, walk or sit and stand repetitively. The employee is occasionally required to reach and lift 25#. Employee will frequently interact with the public and other staff members.
