Position Details:

Works with stakeholders statewide to identify ways in which data can be used in an actionable manner to improve instruction, student performance, school performance, and the entire educational process. This will involve scheduling and conducting meetings, developing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, developing project plans and communicating plan status with stakeholders. The information gathered will be used to recommend modifications and improvements to the Michigan Data Hub environment to meet the identified needs.



Bachelor’s degree. Experience in the education environment, especially in an instructional capacity. Experience in the use of data to address organizational needs. Highly organized with the ability to learn quickly, understand and explain educational and technical information. Must be able to analyze data issues from a broad spectrum of stakeholder levels (student, parent, educator, school, district (LEA), ISD, regional, consortium, state, and national) and develop creative technical solutions which minimize risk and ensure successful solution deployment. Must work effectively under pressure in order to meet the needs of the stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to comprehend and communicate educational and technical information precisely. Good interpersonal skills; highly motivated and flexible. Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Works well independently and in a team environment. Embraces and supports KRESA philosophies related to diversity, inclusiveness and anti-racism. Ability to interact effectively with individuals from a wide range of cultures. Ability to discuss cultural differences with colleagues and clients. Ability to assess one’s own strengths and limitations or challenges and integrate this understanding into interpersonal interactions.


Preferred Skills:

Master's degree. Extensive experience with data at the district, ISD and state levels. Ability to select and develop appropriate methods, skills and techniques attuned to people's cultural, multicultural or marginal experiences in their environments. Ability to effectively employ multicultural approaches in resolving problems.
